Aria Operations Authentication with vIDM

Aria Operations supports several different methods of authentication: local, Active Directory, Open LDAP, SSO SAML, vIDM, and others. We've discussed AD previously, today we'll discuss vIDM.

All screenshots shown here are from Aria Operations 8.16.1. Log into Operations, go to Administration - Authentication Sources.

Click ADD.

Once selected, you'll be given several options, including VMware Identity Manager (vIDM).

Give it a Source Display Name, Host, Port, and credentials.

Once defined, let's log in.

Select REDIRECT.

Give it your vIDM credentials, choose the System Domain, and Sign in.
