The Aria Operations SaaS July 2023 release was made IA this past week, a couple things stand out to me: Search enhancements from the Troubleshooting Workbench and Notification Heartbeats. Let's have a look!
First, you'll notice that the Troubleshooting Workbench now offers Search Help, as well as suggestions and auto-completion, similar to what was added to the general Search functionality in the previous release.
The Object search is similar to before, but the Metric search is new. You can now search for metrics of certain conditions, similar to the general search.
Results will be similar to the general search.
Giving you the ability to explore metrics, objects, and go directly to the Troubleshooting Workbench from each object. Your searches will be saved as well, similar to the general search, giving users the same experience across search within Aria Operations.
The next feature is the Notification Heartbeat!
This gives us the ability to make repeated notifications using all outbound methods. Similar to the Notify Again feature within the Standard Email plugin. Customers can now make repeated notifications for on-going problems using not just email, but Slack, Teams, ServiceNow, and more. Be careful with this one, you don't want to spam your target.
There are several other features included in this release as well: support for Microsoft Azure Government subscriptions, Cloud Proxy CLI support, Compliance Pack updates, PowerShell support for Service Discovery, and more. See the announcement blog from VMware Senior Technical Marketing Architect Yogita Patil for details!
