VCF Operations 8.18 HF9 recently dropped, which can be applied to any 8.18.x environments. You can apply it directly via the Operations Admin UI or via the Aria Suite Lifecycle Manager. Let's download the PAK file and apply it directly via the Admin UI.

Log into the Broadcom support portal and download this PAK File.

You can also download the APUAT PAK file and apply it which will run the Upgrade Assessment Test. Let's run it. Log into the Operations Admin, go to Software Update.

Click INSTALL A SOFTWARE UPDATE.

Select the APUAT PAK file and click UPLOAD.

Click NEXT and follow the prompts to INSTALL. Once complete, it'll look like this.

Select the icon next to Completed on the right to view the Report.

Once satisfied go ahead and install HF9.

Once ready click NEXT and follow the prompts.

The upgrade took about 10m for me and once back up you'll notice the new Build Number (left is pre-HF9 right is with HP9 applied).

Hope this was helpful, enjoy!

After installing HF9 on v8.18.5 HF8, my root account was locked out. Trying to do some research to discover why this occurs. Any ideas as to why or does somethnig need to be completed prior to installing? Pre-Assessment was normal. Not making any sense as to why this is occurring.

I've not seen this, I'd recommend opening a Case with Broadcom Support.

I was working w/BC support on an issue. I had already applied HF9. They were not even aware of a HF9 being out until they saw my environment! The only reason I knew was your website! Is there a place on the a particular BC site I can check for new patches/fixes for 8.x Aria Ops (vROPS) and Aria Ops/Logs (Log Insight)?

Log into the Broadcom Support portal, search for VMware Aria, select the product you want (VMware Aria Operations for example), then go to Solutions.
