In VCF Operations 9 we introduced a feature called Log Assist which allows you to upload Support Bundles to Broadcom Support from VCF Operations itself. Here's how it works.

First, you must Register and License your VCF Operations instance, documentation on how to do that can be found here.

Second, you must have a Unified Cloud Proxy deployed in your environment. I covered how to deploy these previously here. Be sure to confirm Log Assist is Activated on your Unified Cloud Proxy.

ree

Third, you must assign components to the Unified Cloud Proxy in Infrastructure Operations - Configurations - Logs - Log Assist Assignment.

ree

You can see I've assigned my vCenter and VCF Operations instance. Drag and drop the components on the right to the left hand pane.

ree

Once assigned they will show in the Assigned Objects tab.

ree

You can now use the Log Assist feature found in Infrastructure - Diagnostic Findings. Users can also find this feature in Administration - Control Panel - Log Assist.

ree

Click LOG ASSIST top right.

ree

Click PREPARE A TRANSFER.

ree

You now have the option of selecting the Object you want to collect a Support Bundle for, in my case I'll select the vCenter and click NEXT at the bottom.

ree

Once Status goes to Connected click NEXT.

ree

Enter your Support case ID and select TRANSFER.

ree

You will see your most recent Transfer at the top. Selecting the double chevron at left will give you the details.

ree

As you can see a Diagnostic Report is uploaded along with your Support Bundle. Once done it will look like this.

ree

Your Support Bundle of logs has now been uploaded to Broadcom Support for analysis. There is a detailed KB for this process as well, you can find it here. Hope this was helpful!
