vCommunity Management Pack for VCF Operations Part 4

This is the fourth installment of our blog series on the vCommunity Management Pack for VCF Operations, here are the first three:

Today we are announcing support for Operations 8.18 and another use case focused on ESXi Host NIC Status. You can download the latest version of the Management Pack here. Support for Operations 8.18 is pretty straight forward, download and install like you would on VCF Operations 9. Clone the necessary configuration files telling the vCommunity Adapter Instance what to collect, then start it.

The use case added to this build is for ESXi Host NIC status, specifically the Physical Adapters (vmnic) status.

Once your vCommunity Adapter Instance has been configured you'll notice these Properties.

You now have visibility into ESXi Host vmnic status (Connected or Disconnected), which has been added to the updated ESXi Host Detail Dashboard.

We've also added an Alert Definition for a Disconnected condition, be sure to enable this in your Policy/s.
