For those if you running VCF Operations for Logs 8.18.x, ever wonder what this is?

Yea me too. Documentation can be found here, but I wanted a bit more detail, here's what I found.

By default, the Target should be the Operations for Logs Cluster VIP or the Primary Node in the Logs Cluster. I've not found a use case where one would configure this to be another VIP in your logs Cluster.

This IP/FQDN is used in a couple different places. First, when sending an email notification out from Operations for Logs you'll notice it includes a link to Operations for Logs. This is the IP/FQDN it uses for that link.

Second, when sending Alerts to Operations for Logs, they will look like this.

When selecting ACTIONS on the Alert and launching the Seach for logs in VMware Aria Operations for Logs, you'll be sent to the IP/FQDN configured as your Target.

Again, not sure why you'd ever use anything but the Logs Cluster VIP or Primary Node IP here, but that's what it's doing. Hope this was helpful!
